Today, we celebrate those brave souls who have given so much for so many. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has made a solemn promise:

“So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.”

On no day is that promise more important than today. If you know a veteran, take the time to day to thank them for their service. As President Ronald Reagan explained,

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the blood stream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset telling our children and our children’s children what is was like in the United States where men where free.”

Our veterans are the people who fought for and protected our freedom. Today is the day we show them our gratitude. To all our veterans,
