Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks offers many benefits and rewards. Not only do you get the satisfaction and pleasure of giving back to your community in a meaningful way through all the charitable work our lodges engage in, you get to do it with friendly, like-minded people. You also get to have a great time along the way. Learn more about what we do at Frankfort Elks #530 by downloading our membership brochure (pdf).

So you’d like to become an Elk. What do you need to do?
To qualify to become an Elk you must:
- Be over 21 years of age
- Be an American Citizen
- Believe in God
Once you can say yes to these 3 criteria, you’ll need a sponsor who is already a member. If you already know a friend who is an Elk, you can ask them to sponsor you.
If you do not know any Elks, here are a few steps you can take to find a sponsor:
- Find your local lodge (if you’re in Frankfort or the surrounding counties, we’re likely it!) and stop in for a visit. Make sure you sign the visitor’s book!
- Talk to someone in the office, if possible. If no one is available, you may have to schedule an appointment. Ask any questions you may have!
- Complete a membership form. Remember, you will need a sponsor.
- Pay the application fee.
- You will undergo an Investigation, Orientation and finally your big night, Initiation.
If you’d like to be contacted with more information, please head over to Elks.org and fill out the form on this page. It will send your info to the lodge nearest you, and they will contact you soon!
For more information on becoming a member of the Frankfort lodge, please email FrankfortElks530@gmail.com or use one of the methods on our Contact Page.
If you’re a past member and would like to reinstate your membership, you can find more information on how to do that at this link.
