Around Thanksgiving, many seniors find themselves alone for the holiday. For many years now, the Frankfort Elks Lodge has attempted to bring some of the joy of the holidays to these folks.

This year, on the day before Thanksgiving, Elks members continued this tradition. Pictured above is lodge member Sandi Whitaker, who helped deliver two hot meals and a $50.00 gift card to Franklin County Senior Citizen Center member, Barbara Crouse. All told, the Frankfort Elks delivered a total of 24 meals and 12 $50.00 gift cards to needy seniors this Thanksgiving. With the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center being closed on Thanksgiving and the day after, the Elks wanted to ensure that these seniors had hot meals for the long weekend.
