Oktoberfest Success!

I wanted to take a moment and thank our local community for such a great turnout to our Oktoberfest membership drive this past Saturday. PER Albert Kinman and his team did an amazing job and were the sole reason the event went off without a problem. As ER, I could not be more proud of the way our members stepped up to help with set-up, tear down, and welcoming prospective members with tours and information. With everyone working together, we had a record number of 41 applications for new membership turned in that day. Kids with Cancer chairperson Jennifer Hicks also presented Becca Crandall, from Kids Cancer Alliance Camp, a check for $5,000 from the Frankfort Elks . Finally in keeping with our charitable theme , proceeds from this event will be donated to the local Franklin County Humane Society to assist in their building of a new facility . These types of successful events show that Frankfort Lodge #530 believes in and is actively practicing Grand Exalted Ruler T. Keith Mills’ message “meeting the challenge.” We continue to work with our community leaders and businesses to become a more integral part of the Frankfort community. Once again, thank you to everyone who attended and participated. We look forward to seeing you again soon. – Mark Skeeters, ER
